How do you charge your projects?
We generally charge a fixed price for most projects. The way this works is you will receive one fixed price based on the scope of the project. This price will be generated through an estimate. This fixed price will include labor and material.
For larger projects which can take longer periods of time, such as full home remodels, we generally use the “draw” method. The way this works is there is a deposit placed down before the project begins and payments are paid at the completion of certain tasks and milestones. The final payment would then be due at the end of the Project.
Do you subcontract any of your work?
We do work with some of the finest subcontractors in the area. Our pride is making sure our customers are satisfied and we only work with like-minded contractors.
How do you handle scheduling?
Our scheduling is done in a structured manner. It begins with a consultation in order to define the scope of the project. After we have all the details we need we will generate a timeline for the project. We also do weekly updates with details on project completion. Change orders and weather delays can also factor in project timelines and scheduling. Scheduling details will also be available on a calendar shared between our crew and you, the homeowner.
Who will supply the materials?
It is up to you as the customer. We can work with you to supply material. You also have the option of finding and purchasing the materials yourself.
What are payment terms?
Payment terms are dependent on how large the project is. Most projects will require a deposit due when the contract is signed and the final payment when the project is completed. For larger projects, a deposit is still required but payments will be invoiced when milestones are reached and the final payment will be due when the project is completed.
How much should I budget for my project?
We recommend figuring out your budget limit, which is the max number you are willing or able to spend on a remodel, and set a buffer of 10-15%. So in essence, if you have $50,000 for a project, set a spending limit between $42,500-$45,000.
